SUSY (SUstainability and SolidaritY in Economy) is a network of 26 associations in 23 European countries enhancing the competences of local actors that are engaged in the social and solidarity economy (SSE), supporting a new paradigm of economic development in order to fight poverty and to diffuse an equitable and sustainable way of living.[1]

The network conducted a major research project, Social & Solidarity Economy as Development Approach for Sustainability (SSEDAS) in EYD 2015 and beyond, under EU Grant Contract: DCI-NSAED/2014/352. The project led to creation of a report entitled Transformative economy: opportunities and challenges of the Social and Solidarity Economy in 55 territories in Europe and in the World and a position paper highlighting potential contributions of SSE to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals and other policy targets.

The network is coordinated by [www.cospe.org COSPE Onlus] in Firenze, Italy.
