The Global Ecovillage Network (GEN) lists 13 project in their database. This number is however only reflecting the projects that have registered themselves on the database. The ecovillage database contains ecovillage projects of all sizes and in all stages of development.[1]
The ecovillages in Switzerland are organized in GEN SUISSE. The in 2011 registered association is lead by a board who organizes an Annual General Meeting & spring celebration as well as a three day long summer camp with the aim to make the societal change more visible. .[2]
GEN Suisse is also a full member of GEN-Europe, the European branch of the Global Ecovillage Network.

Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) in Switzerland
According to URGENCI, the International Network for Community Supported Agriculture, the first CSA-like initiative in Switzerland were started as early as 1978 (Les Jardins de Cocagne) and 1982 (La Clé des Champs) but the majority of todays CSA groups were founded after 2007. The 2016 report identifies 60 CSA initiatives providing for up to 10.800 people. The dominant for of organization is NGOs and located close to urban cities. There is no national umbrella organization but 3 regional networks are supporting the CSA movement: a) Fédération Romande d’Agriculture Contractuelle de Proximité (FRACP), the French-speaking federation of contractually organised and locally produced agriculture, created in 2008 by 13 CSA groups b) Verband Regionale Vertragsland-wirtschaft (RVL), for the German-speaking CSAs was founded in 2011 c) Conprobio, a consumer-and-producer-driven group in the Italian-speaking part of Switzerland.[3]
