The SUSY report of 2015 on Social and Solidarity Economy refers to a list of 22,149 not-for-profit enterprises in the Czech Republic and finds " a strong presence of centralized social economy initiatives in the city of Prague, created by not-for-profit and social enterprises" but also states that "social economy and social entrepreneurship in the Czech Republic are primarily perceived as initiatives to employ disadvantaged people (... and) social entrepreneurship is perceived as an instrument of solving problems in the country and not as a global approach to economy".[2]

Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) in the Czech Republic
According to URGENCI, the International Network for Community Supported Agriculture, the first CSA initiatives in the Czech Republic where started in 2009 and estimates about 23 CSAs providing for 1400 people in 2016. AMPI, the Association of Local Food Initiatives was founded in 2014 and offers advice, support and research.[3]
